The largest funeral home in the South Coast, Hansen & Cole Funerals in Kembla Grange sits high on a hill just 15 minutes from the Wollongong CBD.
We help families from all faiths and backgrounds to arrange funerals for loved ones. Our job is to gently guide you during this difficult time, providing support and advice to ensure that the funeral is a memorable and fitting occasion for those left behind.
There are no set rules for how or where you hold a funeral service for your loved one. You may wish to hold the funeral within our spacious chapel or you may prefer to hold the event at a local landmark that was significant to your loved one’s life. The area is surrounded by beautiful botanic gardens, beaches and points of interest such as the Seacliff Bridge which offers amazing coastal scenery, Nan Tien Temple and Kiama Blowhole.

How long have you been location manager?
I have been in the industry for 28 years; the last 8 years have been with Hansen & Cole and for the past 12 months it has been my privilege of leading the team in the role of Location Manager.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I would not swap my job with anyone. It is such a rewarding and satisfying career. To be able to help a family at perhaps their lowest point in life, to guide them through and to look after their loved one is such a privilege.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
In my spare time I love to travel with my partner Carmen. I love the footy (watching) ... too old to play!! I am a member of the Salvation Army and play in the Salvation Army band when I get a chance. I do look upon my career in some ways as an extension of my Christian service too.
Are there any special community groups you work with or support?
A great part of my role also is getting out in the community and flying the Hansen & Cole banner wherever I can.
